Just one question, WHY?

Welcome back! Look I'll be honest here I still have no clue what I'm truly doing so just rock with me and we'll figure this part out together lol.
What I do know is what it took/takes for me to get sober and maintain it.
First and most importantly is making the decision to STOP! After you decide on that do me a favor, DON'T LOOK BACK you're not going that way!
You got that part? GOOD!
Now move on to figuring out your reason WHY. This may come easy or may take some thought to really dive into. Your reason WHY will be the constant reminder to pull you through the tough times as you begin to grow and stretch into unfamiliar territory.
For me, my reason WHY are my kids. When I told you all about my failed suicide attempt and my second chance at life, the only constant I had at the time were my 2 sons (Now I also have a beautiful daughter and 2 step daughters who continue to pull me through as well). I knew 3 things for sure.
1. I HATED the way my life had been previously going. I was 28 years old, broke, sleeping on my moms sofa with 2 kids lol.
2. I was going to do everything in my power to change. I mean EVERYTHING. I read books, worked out, went to meetings and also got around people who inspired me and got rid of toxic friendships
3. My sons depended on me and I needed to give them someone to look up to, They deserved the best version of me that I could be. I'm still a work in progress but by all means I'll get to my destination and so will YOU!
All I got this week any questions, feedback or support drop a comment! As always Let's WIN #StrengthFamily - Jarrod
